Terms of Service

Private beta

Evenly is currently offered as a private beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Access may be limited or revoked at our discretion. The mobile app is in private testing and is not yet available in public app stores.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

Accounts and households

• You may create or join a household using an invite code provided by an existing member.
• Content you add to a household is shared with other members of that household. Do not add information you are not comfortable sharing with your household partners.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to harass others.
• Attempt to access another household's data or bypass security controls.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Upload malware or content that infringes others' rights.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit (tasks, notes, events, etc.). You grant us a limited license to host, store, and display that content solely to operate the Service for your household.

Waitlist

By joining the waitlist you consent to us storing your email (and optional name) and contacting you about Evenly launch and beta access. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure including Supabase (auth and database) and Vercel (hosting). Your use of those services is also subject to their terms and policies.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BEACON LABS AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) CAD $100.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the beta. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by nature should survive (disclaimers, limitations, governing law) will survive.

Changes

We may modify these Terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. For material changes we may notify registered users by email.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
