Privacy Policy

Evenly ("Evenly," "we," "us") is operated by Beacon Labs and helps couples share household mental load through a weekly planning ritual. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our marketing site (planevenly.ca), join our waitlist, or use the Evenly web and mobile apps (app.planevenly.ca).
Information we collect
Marketing site and waitlist
- Email address (required) and name (optional) when you join the waitlist.
- Standard server and analytics logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) if enabled by our host.
Evenly account and app
- Account credentials: email address and password (stored and authenticated by Supabase Auth).
- Profile information: display name and household membership details.
- Household content you and your partner create, including tasks, weekly boards, calendar events, recurring chores and maintenance items, habits and habit logs, goals, weekly review sessions, emotional check-ins (mood and notes), discussion items, responsibilities, and household settings.
- Invite codes used to join a household.
Mobile app
- Local push notifications (e.g. weekly review reminders) scheduled on your device. We do not currently send remote push notifications or collect device tokens for marketing.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Evenly service.
- Authenticate you and enforce household data isolation.
- Sync data between web and mobile in real time for your household.
- Send waitlist and product updates if you have opted in by signing up.
- Respond to support requests and protect against abuse or security incidents.
We do not sell your personal information.
How household data is shared
Evenly is designed for couples and households. Content you add to a household is visible to other members of that household. We do not share your household data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication, database hosting, and row-level security for app data. Supabase processes account and household data on our behalf. See Supabase's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosting for the marketing site and web app.
- Expo — mobile app framework; the app communicates directly with Supabase.
Data retention
We retain account and household data while your account is active. Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to remove them or we no longer need them for launch communications. You may request deletion of your account and associated household data by contacting us.
Security
Household data is protected by Supabase Row Level Security so each user can access only households they belong to. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth and are not stored in plain text by Evenly. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to protect your data using industry-standard practices appropriate for a private beta.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Evenly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will post the revised date at the top of this page. Material changes may be communicated by email to registered users.
